Give us a go! Playday 2008 |
Playday is the annual celebration of children’s right to play - a national campaign, which this year culminates on Wednesday 6 August.
On Playday and throughout the summer of 2008, thousands of children, young people and communities will get out and play at hundreds of locally organised events across the UK.
This year''s Playday campaign theme is Give us a go!
The campaign promotes the benefits of allowing children to manage their own risks whilst playing and aims to counter the risk-averse ''cotton wool'' culture that can limit children''s play.

YP-In Roadshow |
The Young People’s Inclusion Network is planning a series of roadshows to share what makes inclusion work for Disabled Young People. One-day events comprising workshops, photography, and film and networking opportunities will be held in the eight English regions this autumn. The roadshows will launch the project’s online guidance, bringing key messages and learning about inclusion to local youth and leisure services.
The roadshows will be the first time that the online guidance will be available and the aim of the day is three-fold:
A day of discussion around inclusion, moving the YP-in model forward into the public arena. We will be looking at what is required to make inclusion happen for Disabled Young People.
To launch and familiarize guests with the ‘online guidance’ - find out how it works and what if offers.
A chance for you to network and meet like-minded professionals. |
