Playwork Partnerships Tutor Training Day

28 May 2012

We have had several enquiries recently regarding the delivery of our new courses (Playing Up! And Playing Creatively), and existing courses Take 5 for Play and Playing with the Elements from individuals and therefore have decided to reinstate our Playwork Partnerships Associate Trainer (PPAT) scheme enabling individuals to operate under our SkillsActive Training Provider licence.

Places on our Tutor Training Day on Monday 28th May 2012 from 9.30am - 5pm at the University of Gloucestershire, Oxstalls Campus, Gloucester at a cost of just £95 are now available.
This would include your PPAT  annual membership (please note this is an individual membership only) of £40.

As part of the Playwork Partnerships Tutor Training Day we will be:

• Offering theory updates and ideas for delivery and assessment;
• Running through the Playing Up, Playing Creatively and Take 5 for Play courses and inputting on ways of delivery;
• Sharing new ideas for activities;
• Providing updated resources, a Tutor Pack and a copy of 'Take Your Pick' on CD.

PPAT Annual Membership will include:

• Support to deliver Playwork Partnerships endorsed courses;
• Being in a pool of trainers with the opportunity to be contracted by Playwork Partnerships to deliver our courses nationally;
• Discounted price on our other Train the Trainer/Tutor courses;
• An annual PPAT CPD training day & regular trainer updates;
• Access to online resources through our new membership area.

To become a PPAT you will still be required to meet our criteria for a quality trainer (by completing our application form), submit your current CV and receive a QA visit from us, but you would then have the opportunity to deliver our courses and be contracted to deliver our endorsed training courses under our licence and code of practice.

If you are interested in becoming a tutor for one of these courses then please do join us on May 28th for a fun but informative day with lunch and refreshments provided.

To find out more about signing up to become a PPAT or to book your place (closing date Friday 11th May) contact team@playwork.co.uk and we will send you an application form.
