Playwork Partnerships Associate Trainer Scheme

19 January 2012

A requirement for delivering our courses is that trainers and training providers sign up to the SkillsActive Centre Verification Check (CVC). However at a cost of £100 per annum this is restrictive to some individuals or organisations who may deliver only one or a few of Playwork Partnerships courses in a year.

We have had several enquiries recently regarding the delivery of our courses from individuals and therefore have decided to reinstate our Playwork Partnerships Associate Trainer (PPAT) scheme enabling individuals to operate under our licence to deliver our endorsed courses. The annual membership will cost £40 and will include:

  • Being in a pool of trainers with the opportunity to be contracted by Playwork Partnerships to deliver our courses nationally
  • Discounted price on our other Train the Trainer/Tutor courses
  • An annual PPAT CPD training day and regular trainer updates
  • Access to online resources through our new membership area

To become a PPAT you will still be required to meet our criteria for a quality training provider/trainer, submit your current CV and receive a QA visit from us, but you would then have the opportunity to be contracted to deliver our training courses under our licence and code of practice.

We are also currently writing new courses, including a Take 2 for Play which is aimed at training volunteers and parents/carers in the benefits of play and playwork, which may be another course that you might consider delivering under our licence.

For more trainer courses and CPD events visit our events page.

Our next tutor training day will be on: Monday 28th May 2012. Click here to find out more.

To find out more about signing up to become a PPAT contact team@playwork.co.uk and we will send you an application form.

Many thanks,
