Funding times are changing and, as Gloucestershire County Council moves more towards contracts and the grant budgets get smaller, this is causing concern and anxiety amongst some smaller organisations that specifically work with Children and Young People.
GAVCA has been asked to set up a series of funding surgeries around the county to ensure that up to 50 organisations can have one to one help with future funding.
Who are these session for? Staff and Trustees are welcome and these funding sessions will be very useful for smaller organisations who are unlikely to tender for a County Council contract and will be looking for grant funding to support their work. If you are running a specific service for disabled children, a local counselling service or working with families in your parish or general youth services these surgery sessions will help you plan the future.
Book soon to have a 40 minute session with funding adviser Tim Cowhig at a centre near you to look at strategies and ideas for funding into the next financial year and beyond.
All the surgeries run from 9.30 – 5.00 and there are eight sessions in a day.
